Our Role in the CMHC HBT Program

As part of CMHC’s Homeowner Business Transformation (HBT) initiative—aimed at modernizing its homeowner mortgage loan insurance business—I4C has played a critical role in helping design, build, and scale the future of housing technology in Canada.

We were trusted to provide contracted IT resources across a range of key roles, including Full Stack Developers, Technical Leads and Solution Architects.

Our consultants are integrated into cross-functional product teams supporting delivery across the full software development lifecycle. They’ve been instrumental in:

  • Developing and enhancing applications using React, .NET, TypeScript, Node

  • Building and deploying cloud-native solutions on Azure, including Azure Functions and Azure DevOps

  • Implementing scalable architectures with Kubernetes

  • Supporting adjacent systems in Microsoft Dynamics and legacy environments like COBOL

  • Contributing to system architecture, writing technical documentation, conducting code reviews, and mentoring internal staff

We rapidly onboarded 30+ resources aligned with CMHC’s project timelines, minimizing friction and ramp-up time. Our team’s impact has been felt through enhanced velocity, technical consistency, and a forward-looking approach to modernization.
